FloridaOne DMAT was deployed to Bay St. Louis, Mississipi from August 31 - September 15, 2005. We set up our base of operations at Hancock Medical Center which was out of commission after the storm surge reached three feet on the ground floor. During that period we treated over 3000 victims at the medical center and tended to another 2000 with our mobile strike teams, covering communities such as Pearlington, Waveland, and Pass Christian.
